Un viaggio indimenticabile!

Our trip to Giulianova started on Sunday in Klagenfurt. After a long journey by train, we were happy to meet our host families for the first time.

On our first day in Giulianova, we met at the school, the I.I.S. Crocetti-Cerulli, a school with a strong focus on tourism. At the school, we got to know each other a bit better by taking part in various ice-breaking activities.

Before, had been on a sightseeing tour through the beautiful city of Giulianova and we had successfully introduced our country and school to the local students. The next step of our trip was when we set off the next day at 9:00 a.m. to visit “Piccola Opera Charitas”, a social business for the production of various different pieces of art produced by people with mental disabilities. During a 3-hour workshop in the afternoon, we learnt how to create an App for our company “StepStones” and afterwards we went bowling with our new friends.

The next day, we travelled to a farm which produces organic cheeses with milk from their over 1000 sheep and goats. A highlight of that day was the lake “Il Lago di San Domenico”.

On the last day with the whole group, we visited the town of Teramo and we had a tour through the university there. In the evening, we had a dinner with all Erasmus participants and their families. The delicious dinner was prepared by the students of the I.I.S. Crocetti-Cerulli.

The last station of our journey was on Friday when we drove to L´Aquila and the last stop together with our friends was in the beautiful and historic city of Rome. We visited many sights and the day ended with a sad good-bye with lots of tears. It is not long, however, until we meet again in the Czech Republic as the next team will spend the 5th and last project week in Breznice from 6 to 10 May.

Back home with lots of memories
